The same procedure was repeated on the lake side of the roof. I remembered to take a few more photos of the procedure. The panoramic shot below can be dragged left and right to view the entire roof. Improper original installation led to many attempts to hold down these roof panels with many nails and screws over the years. Though the rest of the roof panels were reused, these I replaced as they had been perforated way too many times.
A hold down technique employing string and staples was used instead of strapping for the felt paper case a wind came up.

- This is the before shot thrown in for comparison. Lots of patched nail holes helped make the decision to replace these panels.
- Oddly, the direction of laying panels was reversed at this point, resulting in no drain channel. Spray foam used as bug block.
- Some gaps and knot holes required patching but the wood was sound.
- New felt paper held down with string and staples.
- String makes a great way to hold down felt paper because it can be roofed over.
