Next job is to trim off the floor joists to allow room for a bigger, stronger beam. If you look closely you can see the center area joists are indented 2 inches more that both the right and left areas. This I accomplished by snapping a chalkline from one end to the other and cutting first as deep as my skill saw would go. Using these depth cuts as a guide for my sazall blade, I cut of the top part of the joists. This cutting was done laying on my back on staging planks I had laid out on the ground to slide along as I worked.
