New Porch Floor

An unusual screen porch with a basement beneath it. This situation called for insulation, pressure treated deck boards and joists. These elements were all there though not pressure treated I found the pine decking and rough sawn framing had rotted so were removed. The new decking was installed level so any moisture landing on the decking would find a crack between deck boards and pass through to the rock wool insulation and on to the dirt floor basement below. I used roofing underlayment to protect existing untreated wood.
